Special Guest
We are thrilled to welcome Malcolm Morrison, a New Zealand based improviser, director, and teacher specializing in long-form narrative and genre-based shows. Two time winner of the Top Teacher award at the New Zealand Improv Festival (2021 & 2023), he has created over 30 unique shows over his 20 year career. Recently, Malcolm has been exploring how to effectively do improvised horror with the show It Came From Beyond The Script and having fun with cheesy sitcoms. Malcolm teaches a wide variety of workshops including long-form skills, creating character depth, genre deep-dives, and show creation workshops.
Following on from the workshop "Wizards at the Supermarket", our participants re encouraged to put their lessons to the test alongside the rest of our community and any newcomers - these short form improv games will be open to all!

IMPROV JAM
The JAM hosted by our guest and the audience will have the chance to jump onstage and play with Malcolm, the workshop participants and other experienced improvisers from the community. The JAM will combine fun fast-paced games and experimental scenes inspired by our esteemed guest's experience.
BUT you are most invited to come along JUST TO WATCH too! It's a great way to laugh it up on a Saturday and meet new, funny, international friends and meet the community.
This night promises laughs, larger than life characters, surprising games, quickfire laughs and mesmerizing physical comedy all at once!
