Terms Used in the Procedure

  • Notification: Reporting something that is not okay
  • Notification Recipients: Those who are informed about the notification
  • Notification Committee: Those who handle the case reported
  • Notification Committee corresponds to the board of Impro Neuf.

What is a Notification?

To notify is to report something that is not okay, uncomfortable, frightening, or illegal. The goal is to inform someone who can address the issue and prevent recurrence. Notifications are vital to maintaining a safe environment within the association.

What Can Be Reported?

  • Experiences that feel unsafe or frightening
  • Incidents involving others
  • Serious or minor concerns
  • Incidents during or outside the association's activities

Reports can be made on behalf of members or participants.

How to Report

Notifications can be directed to the notification recipients listed below, either in writing or orally. If reported orally, it is advised to prepare notes in advance. If a report concerns one of the listed recipients, it should be directed to another board member not involved in the case.

Contact Information for Notification Recipients

  • Name: Board

Notification Handling

Every notification will be treated seriously. A Notification Committee will review the report, interview involved parties, and maintain confidentiality throughout the process. If the notification concerns illegal activities, the case will be reported to the police, and further actions will align with police procedures.

Consequences of a Notification Case

Decisions are made based on gathered evidence, with potential outcomes including warnings, exclusion from events or positions, or expulsion. Practical measures may also address deviations or errors. Retaliation against notifiers is prohibited.

What Happens After a Notification Case?

Upon case closure, involved parties will be informed of the outcome. Both the notifier and the person reported have the right to appeal the decision.

How to Appeal a Decision

Appeals can be directed to the association's appeals body within 14 days of the decision date. Appeals must be sent in writing to improneuflovesyou[AT]gmail.com.
