🎉 Want to learn the exciting world of improv? Here’s your chance! 🎉
Improvisational theatre, or improv, is unscripted and spontaneous—an art form where every scene is created in the moment. It’s a blend of fun, creativity, and teamwork that often leads to laughter without even trying!
This open-level workshop focuses on Improv Fundamentals. Whether you're a beginner or want to revisit the basics, this session is perfect for everyone. The instructor will guide you through the essential building blocks of improv, helping you gain confidence, improve spontaneity, and unleash your creativity.
✨ Workshop Focus
At some point, many of us stop using our imagination to turn empty spaces into something extraordinary. This workshop is about rediscovering that creativity and learning how to make invisible objects feel real again.
Through simple exercises and playful activities, you’ll practice imagining and interacting with everyday items in a way that feels natural and fun. No experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore!
About the facilitator
Kristine Sterud has been performing, teaching, and actively contributing to Impro Neuf for around 10 years. Her mission in life is to bring the joy of improv and the magic it can create to more people in a safe and supportive environment. She believes that the safer we feel and the more we listen to each other, the more creative and dynamic we can become.
Impro Neuf, one of the largest improv communities in Norway, thrives thanks to its volunteer-based foundation. Kristine served as the leader and artistic director for 1.5 years, including the challenging pandemic period—a true testament to her dedication and leadership. She has also been an integral part of the Oslo Improv Festival, volunteering at many of its editions and supporting its growth.
Over the past decade, she has taught improv at all levels, from beginner classes to advanced, experienced groups. Kristine was a longstanding member of the Impro Neuf ensemble, performing regularly in Oslo, where her creativity and stage presence shone.
She is also the co-founder of two standout groups:
After Eight Tits, an all-female, mostly longform group, and
Far and the Rest of the Family, a shortform improv group.
Kristine holds a degree in Theatre Arts from Nordisk Institutt for Scene og Studio and a bachelor's degree in journalism. Her professional skills as a journalist complement her improv journey, particularly during live TV appearances, where she seamlessly incorporates her stage expertise.
