Improvisational theatre, or improv, is unscripted and spontaneous—an art form where every scene is created in the moment. It’s a blend of fun, creativity, and teamwork that often leads to laughter without even trying!


 

✨ Workshop Focus: "Speaking"

Speaking up means many things. It means speaking loud enough to be heard, and it means saying the things you need others to hear. It means saying the thing you need to say for your own sake, whether you'll be heard or not. We'll be doing a fun combination of all these things! If you've ever been told to speak up and be louder, but nobody's told you how to actually train yourself to project, this one's for you. If you've ever wanted to say something but didn't, this one's for you. And, if you love clear characters and scenes where you know EXACTLY what's going on, this one's certainly for you. See you there!!

🔹 Inclusivity & Safety: Impro Neuf is committed to creating welcoming, inclusive, and safe spaces for all participants. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of harmful behavior is not tolerated.

🔹 Respect Boundaries: All attendees must respect each other’s boundaries. Improvisers should always be mindful of their scene partners and discuss boundaries when needed.

🔹 Reporting Violations: Any violation of these guidelines should be reported to the Impro Neuf Board. Consequences will depend on the severity of the breach.

About main facilitator

Liv Grøthe

Image removed. Liv Grøthe is a dynamic improviser who commands the Oslo stage with a bold presence and a commitment to creating excellent shows. A founding member of Egg Squish It! and one-half of Livikki, she infuses every performance with creative energy and a deadpan wit that sets her apart.
After serving as PR Manager for Impro Neuf in 2024 and coordinating members' workshops for over two years, Liv now takes on the role of Leader and Artistic Director for 2025. Her vision is to elevate show quality, spark innovative projects, and expand volunteer involvement, ensuring Impro Neuf remains an energetic, inclusive, and sustainable community.

She uses her education in directing and teaching theatre to enhnace the workshop experience.
With a Master’s degree in History from the University of Oslo—specializing in polar history and the history of science—Liv blends academic insight with fearless creativity to shape a fresh, compelling chapter in Oslo improv.
