🎉 Want to learn the exciting world of improv? Here’s your chance! 🎉

Improvisational theatre, or improv, is unscripted and spontaneous—an art form where every scene is created in the moment. It’s a blend of fun, creativity, and teamwork that often leads to laughter without even trying!

This open-level workshop focuses on Improv Fundamentals. Whether you're a beginner or want to revisit the basics, this session is perfect for everyone. The instructor will guide you through the essential building blocks of improv, helping you gain confidence, improve spontaneity, and unleash your creativity.

✨ Workshop Focus

The focus is on creating a fun, supportive environment where everyone can participate and enjoy. Whether you're completely new to improv or just want to try something different, this is the perfect place to start!
Great improv scenes don’t come from big ideas—they emerge from small, thoughtful choices. This workshop explores how tiny sparks of support, vivid imagery, and generous offers can weave together into something unexpected and alive.

Through playful exercises, you’ll practice giving and taking focus, building scenes one thread at a time, and discovering what can only be created together in the moment.

No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to play.

  Meet the Facilitators

  Meet Barathy Pirabahar

From the moment she walked into Impro Neuf in 2020, Barathy was on stage—jumping into jams, joining a mixer team, and embracing every opportunity to play. Now a founding member of The Clap, she brings bold choices, quiet confidence, and a natural ease that makes every scene more fun to be in.

With a background in physics and astronomy, she’s no stranger to seeing the bigger picture—whether it’s the vastness of the universe or the way a scene can unfold. She steps into the unknown with curiosity, weaving into scenes seamlessly and finding the details that tie everything together. Whether playing an unexpected character or supporting from the sidelines, she helps scenes grow in organic and surprising ways.

  Meet Anjitha S.g.

Anjitha brings a thoughtful, precise approach to everything she does, whether on stage or behind the scenes. She officially joined The Clap in August 2024 and has already performed in four shows, including one at the Oslo Impro Festival. With a quiet presence and a keen sense of timing, she helps shape scenes with subtle, well-placed contributions that allow moments to grow organically.

Her dedication to improv started long before she joined a team. A familiar face at Impro Neuf, she has been actively involved in the community for the last few years—volunteering at the Oslo Impro Festival long before stepping on stage herself. Now, she’s taking on the role of house manager for the 2025 festival, bringing the same quiet determination and problem-solving mindset that drives her in every aspect of her work. She is also active in Teater Neuf International (TNI) projects, further showcasing her love for performance and collaboration.

Outside of improv, Anjitha is a doctoral student in chemistry, specializing in environmental and industrial research. Whether she’s running experiments in the lab or ensuring a festival runs smoothly, she approaches every challenge with focus, ambition, and a steady drive to make things work.

Both Anjitha and Barathy have shared the stage four times with The Clap, creating memorable scenes together. Their collaboration on stage has blossomed into a deep friendship that extends beyond their performances, enriching their lives personally. They have become close friends who inspire joy and creativity in each other, enhancing every interaction with infectious energy.
